Library Millennium Program Registration
Purchase Innovative's Millennium Program Registration product. The Program Registration product will automate patron registration of over 2,500 library programs attended by more than 74,000 people over the course of a year. Program registration is currently done on paper consuming a large amount of staff time.
This is a Library Automation Software commodity purchase.
2. BUSINESS CASE/JUSTIFICATION:
Program Registration is an entirely new Millennium module, with new record types for programs and the individual sections of those programs. Staff functions will include the ability to email a reminder to the patrons registered for the section, emails to different levels of staff for management purposes (such as a section is becoming full), and print out attendee lists. Program registration can be limited by the library based on a number of factors, such as age, residence, patron standing, maximum registrants etc.
The public interface will allow patrons to search and browse for programs by a variety of methods, and sign up over the web for their preferred section if there is an opening, view the programs they are registered for, and cancel registrations if needed.
3. MAINTENANCE, TRAINING, AND OTHER ASSOCIATED COSTS:
Increment to monthy maintenance of 107.50 after the first 12 months.
4. IMPACT TO CITY/DEPT RESOURCES:
Technically, this module is new and not yet specifically listed in the Library Automation Hardware and Software standard. However, it is a component of Innovative's Millennium family of products, the rest of which are in the standard. Recommend approval of the procurement and the addition of this midule to the standard.
